Huge 18th c Chinese Export Tankard with Initials

Description

A beautiful and striking 18th century Chinese export very large tankard. It is decorated in under glaze blue outlining the panels and around the top rim. The front panel contains the initials LP or SP and colorful floral sprays. The rear panels contain colorful floral bunches. The decoration is especially bright. The handle is a dragon. The tankard measures 5 1/8″ in height, 4 1/8″ in diameter and 6″ from the handle to opposite side of the tankard. It is in very good condition with a crack where the lower section of the handle attaches to the tankard but the handle and tankard ring like a bell when tapped.
